Musician

I am a multi-instrumentalist, with my main instrument being piano. I also perform professionally on ukulele and bass guitar, and enjoy playing other instruments for leisure.

I accompany school choirs for the Festival of Music each year. I also accompany vocalists for events, and music students for exams and auditions.

A polished black grand piano with its lid elegantly raised, glossy surface reflecting subtle highlights, sits in a quiet, modern rehearsal room. Sheet music for a vocal accompaniment lies open on the music stand, pages slightly curved. The piano rests on a smooth, light gray hardwood floor, with acoustic panels and neutral-toned walls in the background, softly blurred. Cool, diffused daylight enters from a large off-camera window, creating gentle, controlled shadows under the instrument. Photographed at eye level from the keyboard side with a balanced, centered composition and moderate depth of field. The mood is professional, calm, and focused, with a clean, corporate photographic realism that emphasizes precision and musical craftsmanship.
A large, open choral rehearsal hall viewed from the piano’s perspective, with a grand piano in matte black occupying the lower right of the frame, its lid partially raised. Several neat rows of empty black music stands with closed choral scores are arranged in curved arcs across a pale wooden floor. The far wall features tall acoustic panels in alternating light and dark neutrals. Bright but diffused overhead lighting evenly illuminates the space, creating crisp, controlled shadows under stands and piano legs. Shot at eye level with deep focus to capture the full depth of the room, the composition is balanced and symmetrical. The atmosphere is anticipatory and disciplined, emphasizing professional choir accompanying in a clean, structured, photographic corporate aesthetic.
An immaculate digital audio workstation setup featuring a sleek 88-key MIDI keyboard in matte white and black, positioned beneath two thin-bezel studio monitors on a minimalist white desk. A large computer display shows a detailed DAW interface with multitrack vocal and piano recordings in muted blues and grays. The workspace is framed by acoustic foam panels in geometric patterns on a soft taupe wall. Cool, even LED panel lighting from above creates a shadow-free, neutral environment. Shot from a slightly elevated angle with sharp focus throughout, the composition is symmetrical and orderly. The atmosphere is technical yet inviting, emphasizing recording, arranging, and transcription work in a clean, modern, photographic style.
Teacher

I started teaching in 2001, coaching students through AMEB exams, or for personal enjoyment.
